Finish Machinist

Erie Forge & Steel, an industry-leading manufacturer of machining large steel shaft forgings for military applications, has an immediate opening for an experienced Finish Lathe Machinist.

If you have a strong machining background and take pride in producing high-quality, close-tolerance parts, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, respected manufacturer.

What You'll Do

Set Up

Set up and operate large finish lathes, grinding lathes and gantry mill lathes
Set up and operate CNC machines

Machine

Machine large steel shaft forgings to close tolerances

Perform

Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools

Maintain

Maintain quality, safety, and production standards

What We Are Looking For

Experience as a Finish Lathe Machinist or have CNC background a plus
Strong math skills and blueprint reading ability
Experience machining large parts preferred
Detail-oriented, dependable, and safety-conscious

Pay

Starting wages: $24.08 - $25.78
